Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Bhatti Travels collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible for your data
Bhatti Travels, based in Liège, Belgium, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
For any question about your data, or to exercise any of the rights listed below, contact us at bhattitravels4020@gmail.com or on +32 465 46 57 70.
What we collect and why
Enquiry form: when you submit the contact form we receive the name, email address, phone number and message you provide. We use this solely to answer your enquiry and to prepare a travel quote. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a request you initiated, and — where you go on to book — performance of a contract.
WhatsApp: if you contact us through the WhatsApp link, that conversation takes place on WhatsApp’s infrastructure and is subject to WhatsApp’s own privacy policy as well as ours. We keep the conversation for as long as needed to serve your booking.
Booking data: if you proceed with a booking we will need additional details — passport information, dates of birth, travel dates — which we share only with the airlines, hotels, visa authorities and suppliers necessary to fulfil that booking.
Language preference: the site stores your chosen language in your browser’s local storage under the key "bhatti-lang". This is strictly necessary for the site to work as you expect, contains no personal data, and is never transmitted to us.
Cookies and third parties
This website sets no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies.
We use Plausible Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. Plausible is a privacy-focused, EU-hosted service that sets no cookies, stores no personal data and does not track anyone across websites. It records the page visited, the referring site, and a country-level location. None of that identifies you, and there is nothing to consent to or opt out of — which is precisely why we chose it over Google Analytics. [[CONFIRM: delete this paragraph if you do not enable Plausible; replace it if you use GA4 instead, in which case a consent banner is legally required.]]
We also count how often visitors click through to WhatsApp, tap a phone number or send the enquiry form. These are counted as anonymous totals — we record that a click happened and on which page, never who made it.
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, images from Unsplash, and a map from Google Maps on the contact page. When your browser requests those files, your IP address is visible to those providers. We are working to self-host fonts and images to reduce this.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for [[CONFIRM: e.g. 12 months]] and then deleted.
Booking records are kept for as long as Belgian accounting and tax law requires, currently seven years, and then deleted.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to how we process it, and to receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these, email bhattitravels4020@gmail.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit) at autoriteprotectiondonnees.be.
Transfers outside the EU
Fulfilling a booking may require sharing your details with airlines, hotels, transport providers or consular authorities outside the European Economic Area — for example in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Türkiye or Pakistan. We share only what is necessary for that specific booking, and only with the suppliers involved in it.
